Christmas Schedule

The schedule for the Christmas season will be as follows:

Tuesday 12/23  OPEN
Wednesday 12/24 OPEN 10-3:30 PM (CLOSING EARLY)
Thursday-Monday, 12/25-29 CLOSED
Tuesday 12/30 OPEN
Wednesday 12/31 OPEN
Thursday 1/1/04 CLOSED
Friday 1/2 RESUME NORMAL SCHEDULE

So, basically it will the normal schedule except we'll close early Christmas Eve and return the Tuesday after Christmas, and then we'll be closed New Year's Day.  Simple, huh?
And, yes, it's our "Christmas" schedule, not our "holiday" schedule or our "winter break" schedule.  It's Christmas, y'all.  Christmas.

A Recipe You Shouldn't Serve The In-laws

We got home the other day and our youngest child, Evan, had written the following recipe on a piece of paper.  We don't know what inspired it, but he spelled the words himself, dreamed this up himself, and even included hand drawn pictures of the ingredients.  So, in honor of his great inspiration, we will reproduce the recipe here, as best we can with our limited technology:

green Starburst
green Starburst
red Starburst
pink Starburst
orange Starburst
glass of water

meex to gathr.
geet a ice cube tray.
pour the flavored waer into the ice cube tray.

That's it, folks.  Evan's first recipe.  I don't think Paul Prudhomme has anything to worry about (at least not yet.................).
Again, I wouldn't serve this to the in-laws.  Unless, of course, they've outstayed their welcome.....

Christmas Eve Services at Starkville FUMC

There will be two Christmas Eve services at Starkville First Methodist Church, one at 5:00 PM, and the other 7:00 PM.  If you're not doing anything else on Christmas Eve, there's plenty of time to bring the family, and still get home in time for dinner together.

Good News

After hearing the king, they went their way; and the star, which they had seen in the east, went on before them until it came and stood over the place where the Child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. After coming into the house they saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell to the ground and worshiped Him. Then, opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

Matthew 2:9-11
